Cupping

Glass or plastic cups applied to skin creating a vacuum suction.  Cups remain stationery or can be gently moved for a massage. Benefits of cupping are vast and include relieving pain and tension, improving ROM, stimulating flow of lymph, and improving circulation.  Traditionally, cupping treats respiratory symptoms such as asthma, cough, lingering phlegm, and congestion.

Gua Sha

Gentle dermal stimulation performed with a jade or crystal stone to relieve tension, reduce inflammation, remove heat sensations, and stimulate the immune system.  Gua sha is also used to tone facial skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Moxibustion

"Moxa" is a cigar-like stick made from Mugwort and other medicinal herbs.  It is ignited then guided over specific

acupuncture points and meridians to warm and stimulate circulation.  Moxa is frequently used for digestive conditions, arthritis, and menstrual conditions.

Acupuncture

The use of thin, sterile, single-use needles inserted at specific points on the body to create a sense of relaxation or increased

energy depending on treatment protocol, chief complaint, and medical history.  Acupuncture is most well known for treating

pain, nausea, menstrual conditions, boosting the immune system, and general preventative health, however, it has shown

effective in treating various other conditions.

  • Cosmetic Acupuncture

Acupuncture that targets specific regions of the face to stimulate collagen,

drain congestion, and promote a youthful glow.  Facial acupuncture is

also used to treat facial paralysis, TMJ, eye, and ear disorders.

  • Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture

A specialized technique that focuses on needling the microsystem

of the ear and its connection to different regions of the body.  Auricular

acupuncture has shown to be especially effective in treating pain, trauma,

emotions, and addictions.  Auricular acupuncture also facilitates detoxification

and is a great compliment to other programs.  Acupressure ear seeds made

from Swarovski crystals, 24k gold, or herbal pellets may also be used instead

         of needles.

  • Electro-Acupuncture

The use of acupuncture needles connected to an electric frequency machine which allows different levels of stimulation to be             obtained.  This is particularly effective for chronic pain, neurological disorders, and neuropathies.
